About Me

My name is Clara Zimban. I was born in Bordeaux, France, and moved to the UK at 17 to study Politics and International Relations at the University of Bristol. In 2023, I spent my year abroad in Madison, Wisconsin, where I began working as a student journalist for The Daily Cardinal.

Since then, I haven’t stopped writing. I continued reporting throughout the final year of my Bachelor’s degree in England and have carried that work with me back to France. I am currently an intern at Journal du Médoc, a local news outlet in southwest France.

I’m particularly drawn to human-interest stories, long-form reporting, and portraits.

"Clara made invaluable contributions to our journalism team by managing the spring and summer magazine production schedules and authoring two compelling articles: Gwoka: Beauty on the Shoulders of Pain and Invasion: How Anti-immigration Rhetoric is Reshaping Belonging. The latter, a politically charged piece featuring expert interviews on the social implications of anti-immigration policies, significantly raised the profile of our literary magazine. Through this work, Clara distinguished herself as one of the most driven and dedicated members of our journalism program. Her unwavering commitment to completing assignments extended beyond her internship term, reflecting a truly remarkable work ethic."
